Under Pressure

Pressure Washing

Weather is the main element that will ware down your beloved patio, brickwork, decking or render, there's nothing worst than seeing algae or dirt all over your paths. Im sure that if you're reading this, that you have tried using your own electric jetwash to clean, yes, this does work, however, electric jet washes aren't powerful enough to penetrate the stonework to complete a thorough pristine finish, plus, it can take a long time to complete the work without the correct machinery If you have a Karcher K3/4/5, yes, it is a good brand to wash the car with, but will struggle to do a good job on the stone or decking, regardless of the attachments purchased with it.

With an industrial professional petrol pressure washer, along with the right experience, your patio, brickwork or render could be made as good as new again, saving you an absolute fortune if you were considering replacing with new!

Softwashing

Softwash is a term used when it comes to using special industrial and agriculture chemicals, instead of using a pressure washer, sometimes using a pressure washer isn't necessary, or or when it isn't suitable to be used on a certain material, and that's when chemicals are an excellent alternative.

The chemicals are applied, left to stand for a certain amount of time, and then washed off thoroughly using water.

Each material is different, and reacts differently to the method used. Softwashing can be used where applicable.

Block Paving

'Sealing' The Deal

'Sealing' The Deal

Block paving looks absolutely fabulous, but, after a few years it comes with some downsides, the blocks can pick up algae and dirt easily affecting it's visual appearance, but the worst thing is the weeds and moss that grown in between as the sand/jointing gets washed away with the weather and foot traffic.

If left untreated, block paving can become a sorry site!

Pressure washing is the only way to bring your paving back to life, it can be a tedeous task for anyone, but once the paving and joints have been cleaned, then new sand can be added to bring it back to new.

There are so many tradesmen that will complete your pressure washing job's for you, however, the experienced professionals will give you the right advice about sealing your stonework once a full clean is complete.

Take into consideration, when you use a very powerful pressure washer, essentially you are stripping the top layer of the stone work away, thus opening it up to the elements, yes, you have cleaned your stone, but, the following year that dirt and algae will be back and visible.

Sealing you stone is ESSENTIAL, don't let anyone tell you otherwise as it is a waste of money not having this done, it will look good for 9-12 months, and then you'll be back to square one. Sealing the stone will add protection from all the elements that mother nature will throw at it.
